Processing Times

Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days.
Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed the next business day.

Once your order is dispatched, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details.

Delivery Timeframes

  • New Zealand: 2–5 business days after dispatch

  • Australia: 5–10 business days after dispatch

  • Rural or remote areas: Please allow a little extra time for delivery

These timeframes are estimates and may vary depending on courier demand or external factors beyond our control.

Shipping Rates

  • Standard Shipping: Flat rate of $7.95 NZD (nationwide)

  • Free Shipping: On all orders over $100 NZD

Shipping fees are non-refundable once your order has been dispatched.

Delivery Information

Please double-check your delivery details at checkout. We can’t take responsibility for delays or non-delivery caused by incorrect or incomplete addresses.

If your parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect address or failed delivery attempt, a re-delivery fee may apply.

We’ll assist with tracking and make sure your order reaches you as soon as possible.

We created Mode & Opal because we were tired of the ones that didn’t quite work. Hard to clean, awkward to sip from, or too heavy to carry.

Ours are made for real life. The spout is shaped for a natural sip (so you don’t have to pucker or strain), the lid is dishwasher-safe, and the handle and body are designed to feel balanced even when the bottle is full.

Every detail is intentional, so you actually enjoy using it.

The lid and straw are dishwasher-safe. Place the lid open on the top rack along with the straw.

Wash the stainless steel body by hand. The dishwasher can damage the insulation and the finish over time.

Yes, as long as the lid is clicked properly shut.

Check both seals are in place before you throw it in your bag, and avoid overfilling, especially with warm liquids that build up steam.

Our bottles are designed for cold or hot (not boiling) drinks. They keep drinks hot for up to 18 hours.

You can safely add warm liquids, but avoid boiling liquid and carbonated drinks. Pressure build-up could cause leaks, damage or injury.

We make two sizes.

The 940ml holds enough to get you through a busy day without feeling bulky. It fits some cup holders but not all.

The 770ml has a 75mm base and tapers at the bottom, so it fits most car cupholders. If yours is 76mm or wider you are all good, and remember the boot adds a few millimetres. Some cars, particularly 4WDs and utes, have narrower or deeper holders, so it is worth measuring yours.

We ship to New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom and South Africa.

Delivery takes about 2-5 business days within New Zealand and 5-10 business days to Australia.

The United Kingdom and South Africa are newer lanes for us, so rather than quote a window we might miss, we send you tracking the moment your order is on its way.

If something is not right, please email us at hello@modeandopal.co.nz within 30 days of receiving your order.

Include your order number, a short description and a few clear photos, and we will sort a replacement or refund.

You never pay return shipping on a faulty or incorrect item, wherever you are.
